Nicosia also know as Lefkosia is the Capital of Cyprus, its located near the center of Cyprus close to the Pedieos River. Nicosia is the financial capital of the Island and the centre of all business.
When you are looking to do some shopping in Cyprus then Ledra Street in Nicosia is the place to be. From Ledra Street there are a lot of adjacent streets that bring you to the most exciting bars, boutiques and clubs. East of Ledra street there is Faneromeni Square where you can find quite a few historical buildings such as Faneromeni Church and the Marble Mausoleum. From the Faneromeni Square you can dive right into the next shopping street called Onasagorou Street.
Next to shopping there is much more to do in Nicosia, for example its museums. In the Archbishop’s Palace there is a Byzantine museum that contains a large amount of religious icons of the Island. There is as well the Leventis Municipal Museum, Folk Art Museum and the Nation Struggle Museum.
